Join to apply for the Instrument Processing Tech II role at Summa Health. Position details: Third Shift: 11:00pm-7:30am, every third weekend, 2 holidays per year (rotated). Full Time: 40 hours per week. Location: Akron Campus Central Processing/Supply. Summary: Provides clean and sterile supplies and equipment through decontamination, preparation, sterilization, storage, and distribution of surgical instruments and equipment, following infection control and safety practices under the supervision of a Unit Manager/Supervisor. Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Ability to read and write English and follow instructions. Current HSPA or CBSP Certification or enrollment in an approved certification program, with the ability to obtain certification within six months of hire. Additional Skills and Qualifications: Ability to work well within a team, accepting and offering constructive feedback, supporting team goals, and collaborating effectively. Self-directed in executing responsibilities within a team environment. Physical ability to stand/walk for extended periods, with frequent pushing, pulling, and cleaning. Knowledge of appropriate medical terminology for surgical applications. Physical Demands: Medium level exertion: occasionally exert 20-50 pounds of force, frequently 10-25 pounds.
