2 weeks ago Be among the first 25 applicantsAs an Engineering Drafter you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing Tate''s production drawing, standards and products by supporting various stakeholders internally & externally. As part of the role, you will be supporting the projects and manufacturing team in delivering a quality product on time, every time. Our objective is to consistently offer the best quality and most innovative products, design and services on the market today.Essential for success in this role is your experience and proficiency in Autodesk Inventor.Key ResponsibilitiesDraft concept and detailed technical drawing.Liaise with the manufacturing team, clients, and suppliers when needed, on any technical matters.Support the project team in areas including, but not limited to, research, design, assembly, installations, etc.Develop detailed designs and models using Autodesk Inventor and other integrated software. (e.g. Inventor, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Revit etc.)Collaborate with managers and other designers to ensure accurate and efficient designs.Coordinate with the team to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality documentation.Assist in the preparation of design documentation for various stages of the project lifecycle including design development.Create and maintain product libraries and assist in further developing Inventor families and automation (eg, iLogic, API, Vault etc.)Coordinate and review construction and engineering specifications to meet project requirements.Work with the design and engineering team, project management team, and sales team.Coordinate engineering inputs and design implementation details.Gather engineering criteria from tender sets or contractor information to assess design compliance.About youProven experience and proficiency in producing comprehensive and accurate manufacturing drawings for Structural steel and Sheetmetal production that include all necessary details for fabrication that meet all project specifications and standards.Understanding how designs translate into actual constructability, ensuring that drawings are practical and can be efficiently executed on-site.Experience working collaboratively with various stakeholders, including engineers, architects, and construction/project teams.Proven ability to lead and manage the design process, ensuring that projects progress smoothly from concept to completion.Meticulousness in reviewing designs, drawings, and specifications to ensure accuracy and compliance with standards.Ability to identify and resolve issues that arise during the design process.Capability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, maintaining order and efficiency in workflow and documentation.Flexibility to adjust to changes in project scope, timelines, or requirements, ensuring high-quality outcomes.Ability to educate new staff on the companys products and help them seamlessly integrate into the team.Strong communication skills in English (verbal and written) as this will be the main language of communication with colleagues and customers globally.Strong grasp of manufacturing processes (e.g. CNC machining, welding etc)About UsAt Tate APAC we custom manufacture and deliver products that aim to improve the construction, sustainability and operations of Commercial buildings and Data Centers, with reliability and exceptional support to our customers.
