The Environmental Health Directorate: Has a crucial role in managing environmental health matters at a statewide level. We deliver a diverse range of activities, including the administration of 5 Acts and 26 subsidiary regulations. As a trusted regulator, community educator, and capacity builder, we work together with state and local governments and industry to protect the health and safety of the WA community. Successful applicants will be expected to lead a small team in the Environmental Health Directorate and work on a range of compliance activities focused on protecting public health. This position is responsible for leading the operational delivery of System Performance compliance activities and contributes at a strategic level to ensure business improvement initiatives and change management strategies are identified and appropriately implemented. The role also involves liaising with internal and external stakeholders on pesticide safety and environmental health issues to promote and ensure compliance with approved controls to minimize risks to public health.
