1 week ago Be among the first 25 applicantsGet AI-powered advice on this job and more exclusive features.Are you a payroll professional looking for a flexible and autonomous role?Currently we are seeking an experienced Senior Payroll Officer to manage the end-to-end payroll functions for both site-based and salaried staff. This is a stand-alone position with responsiblity for two distinct payroll streams within a growing and supportive organisation.About the Role:In this key role, you will take ownership of the entire payroll process for approximately 100 employees across:Site-based staff covered under an enterprise agreement (weekly payroll)Salaried employees fortnightly paid professionalsYou''ll be the go-to person for all payroll matters, working closely with HR and Finance, and reporting directly to the CFO. The position offers hybrid working and a 4-day work week.Key Responsibilities:Process end-to-end payrolls for site-based and salaried staffCalculate allowances, overtime, RDOs, and other entitlementsProcess new starters, terminations, and adjustmentsInterpret awards, EAs, and employment contracts accuratelyEnsure compliance with tax, superannuation, and Fair Work obligationsManage payroll queries and provide timely support to employeesPrepare payroll reports, journals, and reconciliations for month-endLiaise with external bodies such as the ATO, super funds, and auditorsContinuously improve payroll processes and documentationLiaise with internal stakeholders including HR and FinanceAbout You:5+ years of end-to-end payroll experience, preferably in Construction or a project-based industryExperience with multiple payroll streams and payroll systems, experience with Aurion highly regardedExperience with interpreting industrial instruments and employment lawExceptional attention to detail, discretion, and time managementConfident communicator with a collaborative approachAbility to work independently and report to executive leadershipWhat We Offer:4-day work week with flexibility for better work / life balanceWork for an Employer of Choice - be part of a growing organisation that values its peopleA collaborative and respectful team cultureAutonomy and direct impact on the businessCompetitive remunerationWho we are:RCSA is an award-winning employer!Rail Control Systems Australia (RCSA) is proud to be the 2024 Australian Business Awards Employer of Choice Winner recognised for our commitment to employee growth, engagement, and workplace excellence.RCSA is a specialised Rail Engineering and Construction company delivering important and iconic projects across the rail industry.
