Human Resources Manager - Christmas IslandBase salary of $127,744 to $149,033 plus allowanceTerritory Executive Level 2 based on Christmas IslandOngoing Vacancy Full timePackage includes:Base salary of between $127,744 and $149,033 per annumEmployer contribution to superannuation at 16% of base salaryDistrict allowance payable in addition to base salaryAnnual return airfares assistance to PerthRelocation assistance if relocating to the Indian Ocean TerritoriesSubsidised housing may be provided if relocating to the TerritoriesSubsidised motor vehicle may be provided if relocating to the TerritoriesThe Indian Ocean Territories Administration (IOTA) is seeking a motivated, professional, and suitably qualified person to join our team as the Human Resources (HR) Manager with the IOT Corporate Service stream based on Christmas Island.The HR Manager provides leadership and operational management of a small team responsible for delivering operational and strategic HR functions and projects across the IOTA.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, managing recruitment and selection, induction and onboarding, performance management, grievance and exit management, HR policies and procedures development, work health and safety, and training and development.Our ideal applicant has extensive experience in HR management positions and expert skills across multiple HR functions, including a solid track record of managing complex HR issues in sensitive environments.The successful candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of employment legislation, including the Fair Work Act, and the ability to interpret and apply it to individual circumstances.They will demonstrate high integrity and resilience, with the ability to monitor, prioritize, and meet deadlines, producing quality outcomes.
