Consisting of about 160 staff, GEGAC is a Not-for-Profit organisation that delivers holistic services in Primary Health, Social Services, Elders & Disability, and Early Childhood Education.GEGAC advocates for the self-determination of the Aboriginal community by prioritising services that enhance social, emotional, and spiritual wellbeing, with culture at the heart of everything we do.Position PurposeThe GEGAC Learning and Development Coordinator will:Deliver employee Learning and Development programs, tailored to different workforce groups, covering the continuum from induction to management training.Establish and maintain employment pathways into GEGAC, including student placements, market opportunities, and the GEGAC Academy traineeship program aimed at supporting recruitment, retention, and qualification attainment of young Aboriginal people.Partner with managers across GEGAC to align practice expectations with industry standards and GEGACs Cultural Framework.Support the placement of traineeships and student roles within GEGAC.Key Selection CriteriaDemonstrated ability to fulfill the key responsibilities of this position.Strong research, analysis, report writing, and administrative skills.Team-oriented with a passion for working in an Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander environment.Empathetic and emotionally intelligent, capable of relating to staff and those in need.Excellent communication skills, with the ability to negotiate and persuade stakeholders.Recognition of Aboriginal culture and ability to apply it to workforce development.Proven success and a strong work ethic.Qualifications and Registrations (Essential/Desirable)Relevant tertiary qualification related to GEGACs programs (Essential).Diploma-level qualification in Learning and Development or Vocational Education (Essential).Relevant employment experience (Desirable).Satisfactory Working with Children and Police Checks (Essential).Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander background (Desirable).Proof of COVID-19 vaccination (Essential).How to ApplyApplicants must address the key selection criteria.
