The Commission is structured into functional Divisions consisting of operational and support teams.The function of conducting criminal investigations is assigned to the Commissions Operations Division. Investigations are typically conducted pursuant to a Management Committee reference to investigate or approval to work in cooperation with a joint task force comprising one or more of the Commissions partner agencies. The Operations Division is also responsible for the Commissions Strategic Intelligence capability, the provision of specialist investigative support services, and the provision of advice and recommendations to Government in relation to minimising the impact of serious and organised crime on the NSW community.About the roleThe Case Officer / Intelligence Analyst actively participates in the recruitment, registration, and management of human sources and persons who provide information on a confidential basis to the Commission to further criminal/financial investigations. The role produces and ensures the safe-keeping of intelligence reports, together with an initial analysis of reports provided by human sources and other persons registered with the Commission.The role may also include undertaking concurrent criminal investigations in accordance with Commission references, policies, and procedures by interrogating databases and other sources, grading and analysing available data / information, and presenting logical and succinct conclusions.
