Join to apply for the Building Compliance Specialist role at Fresh Hope Communities3 weeks ago Be among the first 25 applicantsJoin to apply for the Building Compliance Specialist role at Fresh Hope CommunitiesDirect message the job poster from Fresh Hope CommunitiesTalent Acquisition | Employee Experience | Change ManagementPermanent - Full Time, 38 hours per week position.Located in Rhodes, Sydney - our state-of-the-art office includes a free gym, great public transport, parking options and convenient shopping linksWork flexibly blend days in the office with days at our sites across NSW and days a homeSalary packaging increased take home pay through salary packaging including novated leasing optionsBirthday leave take time to celebrate with your friends and familyAbout the RoleEnsure the safety and compliance of our buildings, proactively addressing risks and maintaining adherence to Australian Standards, the National Construction Code, and NSW legislation across a diverse property portfolio.What youll be doing:Working closely with Site Maintenance Officers and Residential and Community Service Managers, you will:Oversee fire safety certification, inspections, and maintenance to ensure compliance.Review fire-related reports and implement recommendations for improvements.Stay updated on legislative changes and communicate them across the organization.Conduct property inspections to ensure adherence to safety standards and regulations.Document faults, coordinate with trades and consultants, and recommend corrective actions.Maintain and update policies related to building legislation and compliance.Manage defects and liability periods across all properties, ensuring timely rectifications.Ensure that rectifications meet National Construction Code and Australian Standards.Work with maintenance teams, contractors, and site managers to address structural concerns efficiently.What You BringWith experience in a similar role in Building Compliance, Site Management or Construction, you will have:Strong understanding of building rectification methods and risk identificationApplied knowledge of the National Construction Code, Australian Standards, and fire safety regulationsAbility to audit buildings, identify defects, and implement solutionsStrong communication and stakeholder management skillsAttention to detail, problem-solving ability, and a passion for ensuring a safe community for our residentsAbout UsFresh Hope Communities exists to create spaces that cultivate belonging and places that feel like home.For almost 90 years, we have been providing quality support and lifestyle choices across retirement, residential and respite settings, as well as conference and outdoor adventure experiences for school and community groups.
