You always conduct yourself with honesty and operate ethically in everything you do.Job DescriptionThe Senior Technical Consultant - Electrical - Melbourne, provides technical consulting services and expert advice to our customers in the insurance and legal industries relating to insurance claims and legal matters involving electrical and electro-mechanical equipment failures, breakdowns, damage, defects, and safety issues following a wide range of incidents.PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:ConsultingProvide forensic engineering consulting services to our clients in your areas of expertise, such as:Mechanical and electrical equipment failure analysisDamage assessment of mechanical, electrical and electronic equipmentDetermine reinstatement options, timelines and costsFire origin and cause investigationsWork with clients, legal counsel and technical staff to mitigate exposure to risk and lossBusiness DevelopmentIdentify and meet with prospective clients to promote our servicesMaintain relationships with existing client baseAttend industry events, occasionally providing presentations at conferences and the likeCreate and present webinars to the Asia Pacific marketParticipate with the development and implementation of visions and strategic plans for Oceania businessShare your expertise with other members of the teamOtherStays abreast of industry information, developments, and trends; maintains an understanding of the internal and external factors affecting the business; participates in ongoing training and development as assigned or approved to assure knowledge and skills remain current and comprehensive.Functions as an effective member of the team, assisting co-workers as needed and learning from colleagues and supervisors; supports the goals of the department and organization; demonstrates initiative in the interest of the client and the organization.Upholds the values of Cor Partners, Inc. and Envista Forensics, LLC. and the culture espoused by Our Foundation, consistently demonstrating professionalism, integrity and the highest standards of ethical behavior and professional conduct; conducts oneself in a manner that reflects favorably on the organization. Maintains the confidentiality of proprietary and sensitive information, exercising sound judgment and discretion in any disclosure of information related to Envista Forensics, LLC. and their endeavors.Adheres to all applicable Insurance Regulation requirements and other applicable laws, regulations, and standards; assumes personal responsibility for maintaining the requisite license for the country/region assigned.Perform other duties and/or responsibilities as assigned.QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelors degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from an accredited University7+ years practical experience in industry; preferably industrial, commercial or manufacturingDirect diagnostic and problem solving experience with power systemsPower analysis or power generation experienceHands-on experience with electro-mechanical equipment inspectionsPast forensic investigation/engineering experience strongly preferredMust be able to travel up to 50% of the timeExcellent reading, writing, and comprehension abilitiesProficiency with Microsoft Office programsWell organized and excellent time management skills to effectively handle multiple projects simultaneouslyAbility to clearly and professionally articulate findings to clients both verbally and in written formOne Company/One Team is not just one of our 5 Guiding Principles, its we how separate ourselves from our competitors.
