People, Safety, Culture and Communications promotes a culture to engage and develop the workforce, providing every person with the opportunity to unlock and achieve their potential.Strategic Communication Branch delivers communication services on behalf of the department''s business units to inform and educate the community about departmental policies, programs and legislation across the justice and community safety system.About The RoleThe Director, Campaigns, will lead a team of professionals to identify, develop, implement, and evaluate communication strategies and campaigns that align with departmental and government priorities. It will also provide strategic expertise and advice to departmental senior executives to ensure communication activities achieve objectives and impact positively on the department''s reputation.As the Director, Campaigns, some of your duties will include:Providing strategic and values-based leadership and project management, based on advanced knowledge and skills, in portfolio-wide planning, developing and implementing comprehensive campaign strategies, considering target audiences, messaging, and channels.Providing expert information and advice on best practice campaigns approaches and solutions to stakeholders, peers and senior management, delivering better outcomes for Victorians through a continuous improvement approach.Managing campaign budgets, timelines and performance, ensuring quality campaigns are delivered on time and within budget.To learn more about this role before applying, please read the attached position description.About YouTo be successful in this role, you will have:Demonstrated knowledge of the work of the Department of Justice and Community Safety, with a particular focus on Corrections, Youth Justice, and Community Safety campaigns.Demonstrated knowledge of State Government Communications demonstrated knowledge of State Government and Department communication policies and processes, including the Master Agency Media Service (MAMS) contract, Advertising Approval process and reporting requirements.Extensive campaign experience, with extensive skills and knowledge across a range of marketing and communication functions, preferably within the public sector.QualificationsAn appropriate tertiary qualification in communications or related field is highly desirable.How To ApplyPlease click the Apply button on this advertisement.
