We aim to improve health and wellbeing in rural areas and ensure access to essential primary health care services for all Victorians.About the ProgramMobile Patient Care (MPC) offers Non-Emergency Patient Transport across Victoria and parts of New South Wales, supporting services with RFDS aircraft. MPC provides clinical care for patients traveling from home to hospital, between hospitals, and to and from specialist clinics.About the RoleAs an Ambulance Transport Attendant (ATA), you will deliver high-quality, dignified, patient-focused care, ensuring the safe and respectful transport of non-emergency patients. Your role is vital in maintaining patient comfort and dignity throughout their journey.Key responsibilities include:Perform patient assessment and intervention during transport.Provide high-quality patient care and treatment.Develop and maintain positive relationships with patients and stakeholders.Work independently and solve problems within established policies.Collaborate effectively with team members.Qualifications and SkillsTo succeed, you need:A Diploma of Paramedical Science (Ambulance), Bachelor of Health Science (Paramedic), Bachelor of Nursing (with AHPRA registration), or an equivalent qualification recognized by RFDS or DHHS.For Diploma qualified candidates: evidence of clinical placements, a Clinical Skills Assessment, at least 400 hours of supervised operational experience, and successful completion of clinical assessments.Availability to work 10- or 12-hour shifts across 7 days.Ability to drive in urban and rural traffic conditions.Compassion, professionalism, and dedication to service excellence.Experience in the Non-Emergency Patient Transport sector is desirable but not essential.Satisfactory safety screening, including a current Full Driver''s License, Working with Children''s Check, National Police Check, and right to work in Australia.Our BenefitsWe offer:Recognition of prior ATA service for fair compensation.Staff-to-patient ratio of 2:1.Set shift times.Generous penalties and allowances.A less stressful environment than emergency care.Opportunities to work across various locations and specialties.Employee Assistance Program (EAP).Salary packaging options to reduce taxable income.Parental leave benefits in addition to government schemes.Additional InformationFor inquiries, please email us.
