Our core purpose is to deliver safe, reliable, and affordable water services to residential, commercial and industrial customers.A commitment to providing our customers with quality water and wastewater services requires an expansion of our maintenance activities, therefore we are seeking a mechanical maintenance officer to join our operational team to help keep the water flowing.In this role you will be responsible for the management and maintenance of our water and wastewater infrastructure. Your other key focus areas will be the general mechanical equipment maintenance of water treatment plants, wastewater treatment plants, water pressure booster stations and sewage pump stations.Mechanical trade qualifications and relevant experience in mechanical maintenance, gives you the confidence to hit the ground running in your new role based in Shepparton.We motivate and train our water industry operatives to have a safety focussed mindset, and to be able to work according to operating procedures and established guidelines and have a collaborative approach to teamwork.If you are keen to play a key role in keeping critical infrastructure running smoothly, we are eager to hear from you.About your new role...You will be part of a small team, in a great outdoor location, assisting with looking after the Corporations critical mechanical assets.Primarily you will be responsible for carrying out maintenance on GVW''s mechanical equipment including but not limited to valves, pumps and other rotary equipment.
