Synopsis:We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our Library team in a fixed-term, part-time role (0.2 FTE). This position is scheduled for Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays, from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm. The primary focus of this role is to provide support in the day-to-day operations of the library, ensuring an efficient and welcoming environment for students and staff. A key responsibility includes supervising Middle School students during after-school study sessions.Key ResponsibilitiesThe Library Assistant will primarily be responsible for:Supervise students in the Library after school, ensuring sign-in/sign-out, assisting with homework, and encouraging quiet activities like reading or chess.Maintain a safe, welcoming environment, completing tasks such as shelving books, tidying the Library, and handling library equipment.Complete end-of-day closing duties, including locking up, ensuring equipment readiness, and handing over tasks to the Library Assistant.While the primary responsibilities of the position are articulated, it is expected that the incumbent will engage with the School community and participate fully in a range of events and activities.About HaileyburyHaileybury vision is to be recognised as a great world school.
