The role also involves contributing to the evaluation and implementation of IT solutions. Job Title : Enterprise Solution Architect Contract : Initial contract through 31/10/25 Location : Brisbane CBD Job Summary Our client is a Queensland Government-owned Statutory Authority currently undergoing significant change. An IT project is underway to procure and implement solutions to support the scheme''s implementation. There is little ICT capability within the organisation at this time that the IT Project is supporting. They are seeking to engage an Architect with experience in both enterprise and solution architecture. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in reviewing and developing the IT architecture roadmap, ensuring solutions are architected appropriately. This includes creating an enterprise architecture blueprint, providing a roadmap for IT needs, and ensuring alignment with organisational goals. The role also involves contributing to the evaluation and implementation of IT solutions. Main Responsibilities Enterprise Architecture development : Review the existing IT infrastructure, systems, and applications. Develop a current state enterprise architecture blueprint, documenting the organisation''s IT footprint, systems, and their interactions. Identify inefficiencies, potential risks, and areas for improvement in the current IT landscape. Create a comprehensive IT roadmap to guide the future IT infrastructure and solution requirements. IT Roadmap And Planning Build a strategic roadmap to meet the organisation''s future IT needs, including integration of new systems and solutions. Ensure the IT roadmap aligns with organisation''s strategic objectives, particularly its growing need for technology solutions to support organisational transformation. Solution Architecture Input Provide guidance and support for the selection and implementation of IT Solutions. Contribute to the implementation of IT solutions that meet business needs while ensuring compliance with enterprise architecture standards. Assist in aligning IT solutions with the business goals, providing direction for integration and interoperability. Collaboration And Stakeholder Engagement Work closely with IT Project, internal departments, and external consultants to ensure alignment of IT projects with the strategic priorities. Advise senior leadership on the impact of enterprise architecture decisions and provide recommendations for improvement. Provide input and strategic advice to the IT Project Team regarding technical requirements for procurement and implementation of IT solutions. Risk And Issue Management Identify and mitigate risks associated with the enterprise architecture review and solution architecture implementation. Address priority issues identified in the architecture review that could affect ongoing IT projects. Ensure that architecture decisions do not result in inefficiencies or increased overheads. Documentation And Reporting Document all architecture reviews, roadmaps, and solutions, ensuring clear and comprehensive records for future reference. Provide regular updates and reports to key stakeholders as required. Requirements Minimum of 3 years of experience in enterprise architecture and solution architecture, ideally within the public sector or organisations undergoing significant transformation. Proven experience in developing and implementing enterprise architecture roadmaps and frameworks. Experience with IT solution selection, design, and implementation, particularly in the context of large-scale projects. Familiarity with regulatory frameworks is an advantage. Strong technical knowledge of IT infrastructure, systems integration, and enterprise solutions. Ability to design and develop architecture that supports both business and IT needs, ensuring scalability and sustainability. Proficiency in strategic thinking and translating business requirements into IT solutions. Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels, both technical and non-technical.
