About the Role: Reporting to the Purchasing Manager for the meat category, this position is responsible for providing exceptional sales support to the Bidfood branch network; over the phone and email, in addition to performing other administrative tasks and reports. Duties: Sales support focused on Bidfood branches and national account teams meat requirements Weekly stock offers and specials New business follow-up with branches, assisting national sales, where required Follow up & review samples and claims Discuss branch NPD opportunities with purchasing Assist with product and pricing on upcoming promotions Provide product education, availability of products and substitute products to our Bidfood branches, with a focus on new lines Work co-operatively across a busy team environment Liaise with purchasing, sales and warehouse teams to provide information or resolve issues Provide general administrative tasks and reporting with an emphasis on accuracy Skills and Experience: Confident phone manner and excellent communication skills Superior customer service skills with the ability to build and maintain successful working relationships Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and multi task Able to work as part of a team and autonomously Excellent computer literacy, including the ability to quickly learn internal systems Sales experience and an understanding of the foodservice/meat industry or an allied industry would be an advantage If you believe you are the right person to join our team, please apply with your cover letter and confidential resume.
