Your Role Position Overview Foodbank Queensland is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Warehouse Supervisor for our Townsville warehouse. Reporting to the Warehouse Site Supervisor (Brisbane), you will play a key role in overseeing daily warehouse operations, including logistics, inventory management, pick and pack, and regulatory compliance. You will also support workplace health and safety initiatives, ensuring a strong safety culture across all operations. This hands-on role will involve supervising transport and warehousing while supporting the overall goal of delivering food relief to those in need. Specific Duties Include: Oversee warehouse and transport operations, ensuring compliance with policies and safety guidelines. Manage warehouse operations, including stocktake, inventory control, and storage. Supervise the transport fleet and outbound freight, ensuring timely deliveries. Ensure compliance with Chain of Responsibility and HACCP regulations. Coordinate the receiving of food donations and manage volunteer-led picking and packing processes. Lead and train volunteers, manage schedules, and ensure effective communication. Foster relationships with food donors, suppliers, and community partners. Promote a strong safety culture and support risk management across operations. Oversee equipment management and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders. Participate in projects and manage operations within budget and policy guidelines. About You We are looking for someone passionate about food relief and with the following skills and experience: Certificate IV or equivalent experience in warehousing, logistics, or a similar field. Strong background in transport, logistics, or supply chain, preferably in the food and grocery industry. Strong leadership skills with experience managing teams in a hands-on environment. Solid understanding of HACCP or other nationally recognized food safety and accreditation standards. Excellent communication and relationship management skills. Ability to foster teamwork and collaboration in a volunteer-driven environment. Experience with inventory control, stock management, and compliance with safety regulations. Experience with ERP systems, myCHEP and Palletwatch equipment portals are highly regarded. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
