About your new role As a Utility Engineer, you will be based in the Engineering Design and Standards branch in the Engineering Design and Specification business unit. You will aid in delivering utility engineering solutions, utility reviews and applying infrastructure standards for all customer and community facing infrastructure classes. You will provide utility engineering services for Green and Brown field municipal multi-disciplinary projects. This includes, but is not limited to: Utility engineering and providing utility related advice for minor, moderately complex and complex multidisciplinary engineering projects. Use relevant skills, judgement, and experience in the creation and reviewing of utility related design and documentation. Please refer to the Position Brief, via the paperclip icon, for more information about this role. We''re looking for people who have: Demonstrated experience in coordination of utilities on projects. Minimum 5 years experience in utility engineering and/or utility management. Technical understanding of overhead and underground utilities including design, construction, commissioning, operation, and maintenance. Understanding of relevant standards and guidelines (AS5488.1 and AS5488.2), SEQ Water Supply Codes, Energex, APA, Telstra and other guidelines and requirements. Knowledge in engineering software including 12d model and AutoCAD. Highly developed interpersonal, written, and verbal communications skills. You utilise your highly developed analytical, problem solving and investigative skills to provide sound advice, options, and recommendations to influence project outcomes.
