Westmont Aged Care Services is a not-for-profit organization operating a 132-bed residential aged care facility, including dementia care, assisted living apartments, and independent living villas. About the role The Westmont operates 365 days a year, providing cleaning services for residents'' bedrooms and bathrooms, public areas, recreation and function centres, apartments, and cottages. The Laundry/Bed Attendant is responsible for laundry services following infection control and laundry practice standards and for making beds in the Homestead. Demonstrated Abilities: Previous experience in laundry practices; Hotel/Motel cleaning services; Knowledge and experience in chemical handling and manual handling principles; Ability to work effectively within a team or independently; Effective interpersonal communication skills; Use initiative to problem-solve and improve work processes; Availability to work over a 7-day roster. Personal Attributes: Must be a kind and caring individual who enjoys working with the elderly; Strong understanding of working in a holistic environment; Display empathy and maturity; Maintain calmness and respectfulness towards residents and colleagues; A friendly disposition with a ''can-do'' attitude.
