From times of personal crisis to moments of national grief, we are always here providing support, safety, community, and opportunity.Position Title: Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander AssessorLocation: Moonyah Red HillEmployment Type: Full-time, Monday to Friday (8:00 am 4:00 pm)Classification: SCHADS Level 4About the Role:We are seeking an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Assessor to deliver high-quality services primarily through assessments, but also through case management, referrals, education, and support.Key Responsibilities:Deliver effective day-to-day services through education sessions, interventions, group work, assessments, referrals, and case management within a recovery-oriented environment.Develop, implement, and monitor individual treatment plans while maintaining accurate case notes, reports, and data according to established planning procedures.Perform additional tasks as directed by the Manager, Program Manager, or Senior Case Worker.Actively contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and innovation to ensure the delivery of high-quality services.Maintain up-to-date knowledge of referral pathways and support options for participants.Build and sustain collaborative, professional relationships with internal and external services.About You:Hold a minimum Cert IV (Diploma preferred) qualification in a relevant field (e.g., AOD, Community Services, Case Management).Completed the 4 AOD Skill Set Units, or willing to complete them during employment.Demonstrated ability to respond effectively to unpredictable behaviours and situations using de-escalation strategies.A minimum of two years'' experience working in a recovery environment is desirable.Proficient computer skills, including data entry and reporting.Mandatory Requirements:A current national police check.A valid Drivers Licence.A Cert IV qualification (or higher) in a relevant discipline (AOD, Community Services, Case Management).Please Note:This is an Identified Position This position is open to people of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander descent only as TSA considers being Aboriginal and/or a Torres Strait Islander is a genuine occupational requirement for the position under section 25 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1991 (QLD)The Salvation Army is an Equal Opportunity Employer who provides an inclusive work environment and embraces the diverse talent of its people.
