Advanced Practice Provider I - RheumatologyJoin to apply for the Advanced Practice Provider I - Rheumatology role at Summa Health.Opportunity HighlightsMonday-Friday 8:00a-4:30pNo weekends, no holidays, no call requirement100% outpatient settingLocations: Medina (primary), Chapel Hill/Akron (secondary)Manage an independent schedule of Rheumatology patients, including new and follow-up visitsCollaborate with staff including Physicians, Medical Assistants, Registered Nurses, and Referral CoordinatorsFull-time, benefit-eligibleSummaryProvides specialized direct patient care, leadership, consultation, education, and research to improve the quality of advanced practice. Ensures high-quality patient care by following established standards and coordinating with interdisciplinary team members.Formal Education RequirementsGraduate of a nationally accredited Physician Assistant program (MPAS preferred) with certification from NCCPA, or a Master''s Degree in Nursing with completion of an Advanced Practice program and national certification as CNP, CNM, or CNS.Experience & TrainingCurrent license as an advanced practice registered nurse or physician assistant in OhioMinimum one year of experience as an advanced practice provider preferredBLS certificationSkills & CompetenciesExcellent communication, organization, self-motivation, accuracy, and time management skillsAbility to interpret medical documents and solve practical problems with limited standardizationAbility to provide adult patient care as requiredIndependent work capability, prioritization, and problem-solving skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office and other practice-specific softwareEffective verbal and written communicationAbility to work collaboratively in an interdisciplinary teamFlexibility to adapt to changing patient and team needsPopulation-specific competency in interacting with diverse patient populationsPhysical DemandsHeavy exertion, including lifting up to 100 pounds occasionallyExposure to communicable diseases, body fluids, hazardous substances, and other clinical risksFull range of motion necessary for patient handling and manual tasksSumma Health offers a supportive culture, competitive pay, and benefits.
