We have an exciting new opportunity to join our Humelink Major Projects team as a Senior Cost Controller. You will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of financial information in the cost management systems and be able to identify issues, implement business solutions and contribute to the continuous improvement of financial operating and transaction processes associated with the project This role has a specialised focus tied to project delivery and risk management. It emphasizes cost control, project-specific financial reporting, and providing actionable insights to support critical decision-making within a major project framework. The direct engagement with project risks and contingencies gives this role a dynamic edge, requiring not just financial expertise but also an understanding of project management principles. It''s about ensuring the financial health of specific initiatives, making it both analytical and strategic in nature. Skills & Experience - Tertiary or equivalent qualifications in Commerce, Finance or a related discipline - Qualifications in quantity surveying or Construction Management - Minimum 5 years professional experience as a senior scheduler or cost planner or proven equivalent experience - Extensive demonstrated analytical skills with ability to draw and interpret relevant consistent data from multiple sources and presenting information in clear concise reports - Extensive experience in developing costs controls, budget management, forecasting and schedule alignment in large scale (min $1bn) infrastructure projects (high voltage transmission desirable but not essential) - Direct project and site experience essential - Experience in financial modelling, including scenario analysis - Experience in contract management - Experience working with Earned Value, CPI and SPI principles.
