Chief Finance Officer AustraliaMelbourne / Sydney / BrisbaneReporting to the Managing Director Australia, the Chief Finance Officer is a strategic leadership role responsible for directing and overseeing the efficient management of strategic planning, risk finances, legal and public relations processes in line with the global Finance policies of Mrieux NutriSciences.This individual will effectively partner across functions, locally, regionally and globally to align finance activities with company goals to drive growth and profitability.Main responsibilities:Financial and business management:Prepare, present and execute the companys financial policy and strategyMake policy decisions and accept responsibility for relevant administration functions, staff performance and training and achievement of company financial strategic objectivesProvide accurate and timely strategic plans, records and reports to the Board, CEO and Management group as requiredEstablish and direct the organisations financial and administrative activities and operational procedures to ensure the organisations profits and assets are protected and to optimise business performance and resultsCoordinate the development, implementation and monitoring of financial management and related systemsDirect the collection of financial and accounting information and the preparation of budgets, reports, forecasts and consolidated profit and loss reportsDirect and coordinate economic research and major feasibility studies involving detailed financial analysis and estimates of future returns on proposed investmentEvaluate the financial aspects of proposed acquisitions, investments, mergers, or the sale of assets or businessesGive assessment of proposals involving financial expenditure and the financial status of operational projectsDirect activities relating to matters such as taxation planning and accounting, credit extension policy, cash flow management and investment policy, liaison with auditors etc.Corporate governance:Ensure an effective Corporate Governance framework is establishedPromote the rights of shareholders and key ownership functionsPromote effective and appropriate disclosure and transparencyFacilitate the board members discharge of the boards responsibilitiesCommunication and consultation:Develop and manage the organisations public relations / corporate affairs / communications activities to improve public and internal understanding of the organisations objectives and achievementsRepresentation on all relevant company committeesTeam ManagementCultivate and lead an impactful finance team, ensuring a robust talent pipeline.Manage the selection, training and development of senior staff.
