HOTA is seeking a Registration Manager to join the Registration and Collections Team for a one-year term maternity cover. The Registration Manager plays a pivotal role in delivering the Exhibition and Collection Management program. The incumbent will be responsible for the management and care of the HOTA Gallery Collection and loans at HOTA Gallery including all policy and procedures as they relate to the Collection and Loans program and leading the Registration and Collections team. Position Overview Under the guidance of the General Manager HOTA Gallery , your duties will include, but not limited to: Support the delivery of the Gallery temporary exhibition program and provide guidance and consultation in the development of planning, scheduling and specialist handling instruction. Manage the Registration and Collection team to ensure effective coordination and delivery of responsibilities. Support, and from time to time lead the install of exhibitions and artwork specific projects across the precinct. Develop, implement, and deliver collection management and loan strategies, policies, and procedures in line with HOTA Gallerys Collection Management Policy (CMP) and exhibitions program ensuring all legal requirements and international museum standards are met. Manage local, national, and international art consignments including the preparation of documentation and correspondence to comply with legal, ethical, and procedural requirements and ensuring deadlines are met. Manage as primary contact national government schemes on behalf of HOTA, including Biosecurity, Known Consignor and Protection of Cultural Objects on Loan. Manage the annual financial audit and valuation of the HOTA Gallery Collection. Manage quarterly insurance reporting to broker for exhibitions, loans and collections. Manage the CMS and registration and collection management aspects of the acquisitions and deaccession process. Management of the Gallerys Outgoing Loans and Corporate Collection Loan Program. Undertake people management and effectively motivate staff to deliver agreed workplans. Clearly define role expectations, monitor performance, and provide constructive feedback to staff. Manage annual reactive maintenance plan for HOTA Gallery facilities including integrated pest management and building management system.
