About The Role: As our Maintenance Team Member , you will play an important role in ensuring our Ballarat services are beautifully presented and are in great working order! This role requires detail-oriented individuals with a positive can-do attitude, working independently and also capable of juggling different tasks across different sites. Location - Based in the Ballarat area Vehicle/Fuel - We will provide you with a maintenance van including all of the required equipment including fuel for your week''s work! Tools - We will provide everything that you need - working in Early Childhood everyone loves to have some toys to play with! About The Responsibilities: General and Specialised Maintenance Our children deserve the very best presented yards and the most up to date equipment. Sometimes we love our equipment so much that it needs some love from an amazing Handyperson to bring it back to life! The role will require undertaking a variety of general maintenance tasks, including carpentry, equipment repair, and general building upkeep, to ensure our facilities are safe, well-maintained, and presented to a high standard. Landscaping and Grounds Care Manage landscaping projects and ongoing grounds maintenance to create welcoming, inviting spaces. We all love a beautiful place to play and work - this will mean pulling a few weeds along the way! Handyman Expertise and Precision Execute handyman tasks with precision and efficiency, demonstrating a high standard of work and taking pride in what you do - no shortcuts here! Leadership and Coordination Act as the primary site contact for contractors, overseeing maintenance activities, and demonstrating the ability to work independently and problem-solve without close supervision. Record-Keeping and Administration Efficiently establish and maintain work/maintenance records using computer skills. A previous experience in a facilities manager role is advantageous Safety and Compliance Ensure physical safety of the facilities, minimizing wear and tear, while adhering to compliance, confidentiality, and workplace health and safety protocols. Communication and Interpersonal Skills Exhibit exceptional interpersonal and communication skills for positive interactions with children, families and team members.
