Job Description Air Services Operator''s - Ramp and Cargo are responsible for working in a team environment to ensure timely, efficient, professional and safe ramp service functions while ensuring all regulatory requirements are met. Your responsibilities include: Fleet Presentation functions Baggage make-up Loading and unloading of cargo and baggage Lavatory and water services Arrival and departure Services including managing oversize baggage, aircraft pushback and operating airport specific equipment Administration services Compliance with WHS Regulations, CSA policies and procedures Ensuring the safe operation of equipment, machines and vehicles Reporting any incidents immediately Building strong working relationships with all staff and customer airline employees Promoting and upholding a positive company image (including grooming, behaviors and service) Timely aircraft scheduled departures (100% Safe on Time Performance). It is desirable (although not essential) that you are already experienced in Ramp and Baggage Service functions. Please include any relevant training including equipment, airline and aircraft type. To be considered you will: Ensure adherence to all company safety, policy, procedures and processes Be able to handle pressure successfully i.e. competing demands and priorities, including working any extra hours required Work within a team, sharing information and providing support to ensure there is a coordinated approach to the customer requirements during aircraft operation Have the ability to effectively communicate with people from a variety of different backgrounds and have the ability to deal with confidential and sensitive situations Understand the importance of meeting Service Level Agreements (SLAs) whilst adhering to safety requirements Be a proactive self-starter, able to successfully manage multiple issues and effectively resolving them Have the ability to work unsupervised at times and in a changing and fast paced team environment Be motivated and capable of committing to rostered shifts spanning 24 hours / 7 days a week including morning, evenings and weekends Demonstrate that you can follow instructions as directed by Management and Supervisors Have a current State Drivers license with a clean record (MR preferred but not essential) Undergo pre-employment screening, drug and alcohol testing and medical assessment Undergo a Federal Police Clearance check In return we offer you an opportunity to work for a growing and successful company with a friendly working environment and continuous support from our executive management team.
