The Role: Assistant Manager Bar & Restaurant Are you a hospitality professional with a passion for leadership and excellence in bar and restaurant operations? We are seeking experienced and dynamic Assistant Managers to join our team and take charge of either bar management, restaurant management, or both, depending on your expertise. As an Assistant Manager, you will be one of two leaders working closely with the General Manager to ensure seamless operations and outstanding service in our new Hotel. This is a hands-on role that offers an opportunity to shine in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: Oversee either bar operations, restaurant and function services, or both, as per your expertise. Manage systems, beverage lists, menus, and stock control, including ordering, quality control, and inventory management. Train and mentor team members, fostering a culture of excellence through product knowledge and standard operating procedures. Collaborate with the General Manager to develop and manage staff schedules and rosters. Perform Duty Manager responsibilities, including opening and closing procedures and end-of-day reporting. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and licensing regulations. Monitor and maintain exceptional service standards, ensuring customer satisfaction across all areas. Assist in promotional activities and initiatives to drive sales performance. Skills and Qualifications: Minimum 5 years of experience in bar management, restaurant management, or both, with a preference for multi-bar or function management expertise. Proven track record in stock control, ordering, rostering, and quality control. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to effectively manage and inspire diverse teams. In-depth knowledge of cocktails, wines (WSET Level 1/2 preferred), recipes, and keg room operations. Hands-on and proactive approach with attention to detail and an ability to thrive in high-pressure situations. Certifications: RMLV (Responsible Management of Licensed Venues). WSET Level 1/2 (preferred). First Aid & CPR certification.
