Key role in overseeing the creation and implementation of the Council Plan Synopsis Same as above About The Branch The Enterprise Planning and Insights branch facilitates both the Council Plan and our Corporate Strategy. It links these strategic documents to daily operations, operates as a project management office, sets organizational standards and performance targets, and monitors insights and progress to drive long-term success. About The Role Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the Director of Enterprise Planning and Insights will lead the branch, driving development and execution of the Councils vision, strategic plan, and initiatives. Responsibilities include providing guidance on strategy execution, enterprise performance, overseeing corporate planning, and leading the preparation of the Annual Report and Strategic Plan. You will also manage the Enterprise Project Management Office and Data Insights team to ensure impactful organizational results. Key Responsibilities Manage development and delivery of strategies, services, and projects to enhance workforce capacity, culture, and performance. Oversee creation and implementation of the Council Plan, corporate framework, and annual delivery documents, ensuring legislative and organizational alignment. Leverage data to foster an insights-led organizational culture. Ensure compliance with the Local Government Performance Reporting Framework and manage related reporting obligations. Develop and align policy, strategy, and performance frameworks with Council objectives. Drive annual planning programs to meet organizational and legislative goals. Collaborate across divisions to build strategic planning, performance, and intelligence capabilities. Manage projects to ensure timely, budget-conscious delivery adhering to the Project Management Framework. Promote innovation by introducing new systems and methodologies to improve customer experience. Qualifications and Experience Tertiary qualification in program/project management, strategy development, or relevant industry experience. Proven experience in Corporate Strategy and Performance, preferably in government. Strong leadership, staff management, and community engagement skills. Deep understanding of Council''s strategic goals, with excellent project management and engagement skills. Research and data analysis skills to drive performance initiatives. Experience in corporate planning programs. Knowledge of project management standards for timely, budget-friendly outcomes. Effective communication skills for presenting to senior decision-makers.
