Role Overview: The Farm Hand at Stanbroke Feedlot is a crucial member of our agricultural team, responsible for overseeing and participating in various farming activities, with a particular focus on crop management and machinery operation. This role requires a farm hand with experience in planting, spraying with self-propelled sprayer and maintaining farm machinery. Your Key Responsibilities: Crop Management: Oversee and participate in all aspects of crop growing, including planting, irrigation, fertilization. Machinery Operation: Operate and maintain a variety of farm machinery and equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety. Team Leadership: Help lead and mentor junior farm hands, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment. Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on farm equipment and infrastructure. Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of spraying, machinery usage, and maintenance activities. Who We Are Looking For: You have at least 2 years experience in a similar role. You have basic mechanical skills and the ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment. You have excellent organisational and time-management skills. You are committed to safety and best practices in farming. You have basic knowledge of GPS farming systems, such as Greenstar.
