Located only 75 minutes'' drive from Melbourne, the permanent population on the Surf Coast is close to 40 000 which more than trebles at peak holiday times.Reporting to the CEO, this role leads a range of enabling functions including finance, business performance and improvement, people and culture, program management and delivery, governance, risk and technology. These functions serve as a centre of excellence for the Council-setting strategic direction and ensuring the organisation remains focused on delivering Council''s objectives and achieving positive community outcomes.The General Manager will continue to drive value by supporting the organisation to deliver exceptional customer and community experiences, while ensuring the long-term sustainability of Council to secure the best possible economic and social future. The role also provides integrated strategic and governance advice to strengthen both organisational performance and community impact.To be considered, you will be recognised as a values-driven, people-focused leader with the ability to align leadership with Council''s vision and strategic plans.
