This is your opportunity to step into a dynamic role where your coordination and administrative expertise will help bring ideas to life!This position is identified where, under section 25 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1991, there is a genuine occupational requirement for the incumbent to be Indigenous to the Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander community.About YouWe are seeking applicants who have:Minimum 2 years experience in an administrative or marketing role in a service focussed setting preferably in an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander work environment.Good knowledge of administration practices with sound computing skills, particularly with Microsoft Office Suite, and demonstrated ability to learn new applications.Sound literacy and numeracy skillsSound interpersonal communication skills and the ability to establish and maintain strong working relationshipsAbility to communicate sensitively and effectively with Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people in accordance with community protocols and customs.Ideally you willCert III in Business AdministrationCompleted graphic design or related studiesExperience in developing design products (brochures, posters etc) or in using design tools, such as the Adobe Creative Suite.Interest in photography/videography for social media consumption.Mandatory requirementsCurrent Queensland Drivers LicenceCurrent Blue Card positive notice or exemption, or willing and able to obtain prior to commencementCurrent AFP National Police Clearance or willing to obtainMust be willing and have the ability to travel in Cape York either by light aircraft or 4WD as required.Why work for us?Competitive salary range - $74,440 $82,711p.a. + 11.5% superannuation contributionModern facilities and resources5 weeks annual leave & 17.5% leave loadingGenerous salary packaging of up to $15,900 per yearInduction, professional development and learning opportunitiesEAP programOur CultureApunipima, meaning "united - all in one" in Injinoo Ikya, was established in 1994 to advocate and support the health needs of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people of Cape York.
