(Remote Work Opportunity) About Central Gippsland Health Central Gippsland Health (CGH) is a sub-regional health service and the major provider of health and aged care services in the Wellington Shire. Located in Sale, 215 km east of Melbourne, it offers access to Gippsland Lakes, 90 Mile Beach, and the Victorian Alps. CGH provides acute care across three campuses (Sale, Maffra, Heyfield), including emergency, critical care, neonatal, surgical, oncology, dialysis, and rehabilitation services. It is also a teaching hospital affiliated with Monash University''s School of Rural Health. About the Department The Pharmacy Department is situated at Sale Central Gippsland Health hospital. It operates in a dynamic environment with a team of pharmacists, interns, and technicians, providing inpatient and outpatient clinical services, medicines information, and participating in clinical trials. About The Role The Lead Education Pharmacist will provide education and support to pharmacy staff, including technicians, interns, and pharmacists. The role involves planning and delivering training sessions to hospital staff and patients. The position can be performed remotely and does not require physical attendance at the hospital. Key Duties Managing and conducting the pharmacy internship program. Leading the Residency Program and conducting educational activities with resident pharmacists. Developing and delivering educational content to pharmacy and hospital staff. Promoting patient-centered care by educating staff on medication safety and optimal medication management. Qualifications, Skills, and Experience Current AHPRA Pharmacy Registration and Professional Indemnity Insurance. Effective communication skills across all levels of hospital staff. A patient-focused approach aiming for excellence in care. Adaptability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
