You will assist in implementing and maintaining Cement Australias integrated safety, health, environment, and quality management system, helping us achieve our safety and sustainability targets.If you are passionate about safety, wellbeing, and sustainability, and are looking to start or advance your career by applying your skills, this role is suitable for you.At a high level, some of your responsibilities will include:Supporting the Safety Manager CQ/NQ and the Sustainability Specialist, as well as the broader Gladstone team, in applying our SHEQMS at Fishermans Landing, East End Mine, and Iveragh mine sites.Conducting site inspections and audits on SHE-related matters, including work permits, isolations, and risk assessments.Managing incident reporting systems.Participating in safety, health, and environmental meetings (e.g., OHS Committee, pre-start meetings).Acting as Rehabilitation and Return to Work Coordinator (RRTWC) for work and non-work-related injuries.Coordinating with medical practitioners, employees, and management to develop return-to-work and suitable duties plans.Supporting and overseeing workers'' compensation claims as a nominated Return to Work Coordinator.Assisting in organizing and delivering safety, health, and environmental training (e.g., permit to work, equipment isolation, hazard and risk management).Assessing contractor SHE management plans against Cement Australias procedures.Managing the sites Approved Contractor Register (ACR) and monitoring compliance.Providing safety, health, and environmental support during plant maintenance shutdowns in collaboration with the Safety Manager and Sustainability Specialist.What Youll BringDiploma in Safety, Health, or Environment.Minimum 2 years'' experience in applying and using SHE management systems.Cert IV in Training & Assessment (advantageous).Experience in mining/heavy industry with shutdown exposure (advantageous).Contractor management experience.Strong verbal, influencing, and negotiating skills.Understanding of safety legislative requirements.Rehabilitation and suitable duties experience or qualification (or willingness to obtain).Why Join Cement Australia?Be Yourself: Embrace diversity and focus on achieving great results together.Paid Parental Leave: 12 weeks paid maternity leave, 1 week paid paternal leave.Salary Sacrifice: Save on technology and work-related items through our program.Novated Leasing: Drive your dream car for less with sgfleet discounts.Discounted Products: Save on home improvement projects with exclusive discounts.Salaried Day Off: Work a 19-day month for more work-life balance.Health & Well-being: Discounted health insurance, EAP, and up to $1000 reimbursement for gym or travel.Who We AreCement Australia is a leading supplier of cementitious products, with diverse operations including manufacturing, mining, logistics, and waste management through Geocycle.
