Join to apply for the Credit Analyst role at ORIX Australia Corporation Limited. As a Credit Analyst, youll evaluate the creditworthiness of small-to-medium businesses applying for asset finance. Your responsibilities include conducting credit assessments, analysing financial statements, and making timely, informed decisions. This role requires strong commercial acumen and attention to detail to ensure efficient processing of credit applications in a high-volume, fast-paced environment. While your primary focus will be asset finance, you''ll also support credit assessments across other business lines, including Fleet, Novated, and Rental. Key Responsibilities Assess and decide on asset finance credit applications for small-to-medium businesses, including Sole Traders, Trusts, and Companies. Analyse financial statements, tax returns, bank statements, and other documents to determine creditworthiness. Ensure accurate and timely data entry into ORIX systems. Collaborate with internal teams to align credit applications with Group Credit Policy. Provide excellent customer service and build strong relationships with stakeholders. Approve credit applications within your delegated authority. Support the Credit Manager and team with ad hoc tasks. Qualifications & Experience 2+ years in commercial business lending and credit underwriting, specifically in asset/equipment finance. Experience holding a DLA. Strong analytical skills for financial statement assessment of SME and Sole Trader businesses. Proven ability to make timely credit decisions in high-volume settings. Knowledge of commercial asset finance products (chattel mortgage, finance lease, rental, operating lease). Understanding of legal and regulatory considerations, including the Privacy Act, PPSA, and AML/CTF. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
