The campus fosters an environment of excellence with state-of-the-art clinical skills, information, and computing resources.Role DetailsThis position provides technical and research assistance to the Mechanical Circulatory Support Research Laboratory (MCSRL). The research assistant will develop and conduct experiments on mechanical circulatory support (MCS) devices, mainly involving the BiVACOR Total Artificial Heart. Responsibilities include writing monthly reports, attending meetings, and ensuring compliance with NHMRC guidelines, ICH-GCP, Australian regulations, and privacy laws.Hold relevant undergraduate qualifications in medical science, physiology, or medical engineering.Experience in supporting research projects and knowledge of HREC and RGO submissions.Strong time management, organisational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to meet deadlines.Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams and use initiative.Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and statistical analysis packages.Ability to work independently and as part of a team, making sound judgments.Experience supporting projects and initiatives.Please refer to the position description for full details.UNSW Benefits and Culture17% Superannuation and leave loadingAdditional 3 days of leave over ChristmasAccess to lifelong learning and career developmentProgressive HR practicesMore information on staff benefits and culture can be found on the UNSW website.Application Process:Click on ''Apply now'' to submit your application online.
