Job Title: Permit Management Officer Employer: DFP Recruitment Client Position Type: 12 month Full Time Casual Temporary Contract Pay Rate: $49.91 per hour + Super Location: Kwinana WA, 6167 Role Overview: Reporting to the Manager Safety, the role is responsible for coordinating work permits to ensure the safety of all personnel performing work at the Outer Harbour. Key Responsibilities: Coaching and mentoring staff and contractors in the application of the Permit to Work system and broader WHS requirements. Assist in site WHS audits and inspections. Oversee the efficient and effective use of the Permit to Work process and associated procedures, including but not limited to: Review and authorise Permit to Work forms, ensuring they are fully completed and signed by relevant parties. Verify that adequate risk management measures are in place for all permits. Coordinate plant and equipment isolations with authorized technicians. Audit and monitor permits for efficacy and efficiency. Essential to be successful in this role: Experience in applying Work Health and Safety practices in heavy industry or mining. Experience in workplace training or developing training plans. Certificate IV or Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety (desirable). Training in Small Group facilitation, Certificate IV or Diploma in Workplace Training & Assessment (desirable). Knowledge of WA WHS legislation, regulations, and practices. Interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills. Report writing and analytical skills. Strong computer literacy. Knowledge and experience with permit issuing (highly desirable).
