Together with ENGIE, Yara Pilbara will also build a renewable hydrogen plant to produce renewable ammonia.We are always looking for ambitious and curious-minded colleagues who are keen to make a difference, whilst residing in the nearby coastal city of Karratha, Western Australia, a key community in the region with a resource focus and a relaxed, friendly lifestyle.ResponsibilitiesReporting to the Plant Manager, as part of the senior leadership team the YPF Production Manager will assume full responsibility for delivering the business strategy and planning within the production and operations scope of the Ammonia plant and associated Utilities for site wide use.This role will lead and develop the Operations team members and work collaboratively with all departments.The primary responsibilities include:Responsibility for reaching the environmental, safety, reliability (volume and energy) and financial targets of the ammonia plant.Guiding the Superintendents, Shift supervisors/crews and Support team in performance-based management and competence development, ensuring a full operational and skilled team, prepared for normal operations and emergencies, start-ups and shutdowns.Close, collaborative partnering with all departments for resources required for optimal production and operational activities.Continuously strive to achieve operational excellence in overall site operations linking with full site, regional and corporate teams for success and efficiencies.Leading by example and fostering a culture that exemplifies Yaras safe by choice approachAchieve operational and financial objectives in compliance with Yara safety and quality standards.Set operational priorities and optimise resources to improve production efficiency.Ensure competency development, to support safe and reliable operations.Review and develop production processes and lead continuous improvement initiativesEnsure that the site is compliant with the relevant Yara standards including TOPS.Collaborate with other Departments, to ensure the optimum utilisation of resourcesEstablish site-specific policies and procedures based on the framework set by the Yara Steering System to prevent accidents and emissions to the environment, guaranteeing it is being supported by adequate organization and proper tools.Streamline processes across the Ammonia plantFoster and maintain a network with the Yara corporate colleagues in the technical disciplines of relevance.Budget development and management to agreed expenditureParticipate as a member of the Yara Pilbara site leadership teamAs a leader within Yara, in the Leadership Behaviors (Live the Strategy, Be the Change, Explore and Adapt, Build Trust, Learn and Grow) will be an essential part of your role and ongoing development.ProfileBachelors Degree in process or chemical engineeringAt least 5 years of relevant senior leadership experienceMinimum of 10 years within a position in the Chemical/petrochemical industry, preferably in an Ammonia or Methanol Plant environmentExperience leading change, driving production optimisation and plant process reliabilityPossess a high level of communication skills - verbal and written EnglishProficient in Microsoft Office 365 applications.Additional InformationYara celebrates diversity in all operations, practices, and engagement.
