This position plays a vital role in supporting the payroll function for a workforce of more than 500 employees. You will assist in maintaining and managing data across our system (Dayforce), ensuring the efficient and accurate processing of payroll.The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong ability to communicate effectively across departments, manage deadlines, and contribute to the ongoing improvement of payroll processes and systems.This is a Part-Time position - Flexible working hours are available.About Us | Mackays Group :Mackays Group was founded in 1945 and has grown to become Australias leading banana grower. Over the years, the business has expanded its operations to also produce papaya, sugarcane, passionfruit, coffee, and cocoa.Key Responsibilities:Process weekly payroll, ensuring accuracy and compliance with deadlinesManage termination payments, employee deductions, allowances, and back pay calculationsSupport pay increases, adjustment pays, and reconciliation processesCollaborate with site administrators to monitor and manage timesheet data in the Time and Attendance systemPerform monthly payroll deductions and reconciliationConduct weekly bank reconciliationsCalculate and generate service fees as neededAssist with end-of-year processes and reporting requirementsInterpret awards, agreements, and employment contracts, particularly regarding overtime and allowancesContribute to the development and ongoing maintenance of induction and onboarding processesSupport continuous improvement initiatives related to payroll systemsCoordinate the payroll function in the absence of the Payroll ManagerRespond to payroll-related inquiries from managers and employees in a timely and professional mannerAbout You:Certificate or diploma in Payroll, Business Administration, or a related field, is desiredProven experience in payroll processing, preferably in a high-volume environmentStrong understanding of payroll legislation, awards, and employment conditionsExperience with Dayforce, is a bonus!High level of accuracy and attention to detailExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to manage multiple tasks and meet strict deadlinesA proactive and flexible team player with a continuous improvement mindsetHow to Apply:To apply, please submit your resume and cover letter via the "Quick Apply" button.How do your skills match this job?Sign in and update your profile to get insights.Your application will include the following questions:Which of the following statements best describes your right to work in Australia?How many years of payroll experience do you have?Which of the following Microsoft Office products are you experienced with?Which of the following accounting packages are you experienced with?To help fast track investigation, please include here any other relevant details that prompted you to report this job ad as fraudulent / misleading / discriminatory. #J-18808-Ljbffr
