This position reports directly to the Director of Product Support & Maintenance and is responsible for delivering the contracted statement of work under the Australian Services Contract. The role requires excellent stakeholder communication and management skills, along with the ability to leverage your knowledge, skills, and business acumen to establish effective governance and assurance.As a senior manager supported by your team, you will lead, direct, and oversee execution of the contract. You will also be responsible for program budget, governance, and strategic direction, and will be a key member of the Apache Leadership Team.This onsite role in Townsville involves working closely with the customer and managing the following contracted service delivery streams:Leading a multidisciplinary team of employees and subcontractors delivering technical and logistics services to the 1 Aviation Regiment (1Avn) Operational Unit at RAAF Base Townsville and Army Aviation Training Centre (AAvnTC).Managing cost accounts and resourcing for in-barracks, out-of-hours, and away-from-base activities.Serving as the technical lead for site-based recruitment activities for BDA personnel.Acting as the management liaison and relationship focal point for Defence stakeholders and external agencies.Being the accountable manager for site compliance, safety, and personnel wellbeing.Ensuring the continued competence of all maintenance personnel through facilitating and overseeing the Commonwealth''s training programs.To be considered for this role, you will have:Qualifications in an aviation maintenance discipline.Demonstrated experience managing integrated teams of technical personnel.Previous experience leading Part 145 maintenance teams.Knowledge and experience with ISO standards, safety, quality, and environmental management systems.Currently hold an NV1 clearance (highly desirable).Applicants must be Australian citizens to meet Defence security requirements.We encourage collaboration with our international counterparts and are committed to building a diverse and inclusive workplace.
