The Opportunity This position will manage capital projects in accordance with Councils Project Management Framework (PMF) to achieve the required outputs and outcomes within the constraints of the approved scope, budget and timeframes. In this high profile and visible role, in one of Australias fastest growing municipalities, you will work closely with the Senior Portfolio Leads to manage project demands and deliver councils diverse and complex portfolio. Reporting to the Senior Coordinator - Capital Delivery, this role manages projects within council''s Capital Delivery Program. Key Responsibilities Support the Capital Projects Senior Portfolio Lead in the program management of Councils suite of capital projects and in the planning, development, programming, design, construction and handover of same, including contributing to the development of Councils ten-year capital works program. Responsible for all aspects of project management in relation to assigned capital projects in accordance with Councils PMF during the full project life cycle, and ensure that assigned projects are delivered on time, within budget and scope and in accordance with the approved business case. Provide regular reports to the Project Owner and Project Control Group and manage all aspects of the Project Working Group for assigned projects. To view the Position Description, click here. About you To be successful in this role you will have the following: Tertiary qualifications in project management, engineering, building or equivalent with some project management experience, or lesser formal qualification with substantial experience in project management and contract management. Experience in procurement and contract management and administration. Experience in managing landscape, building and civil contracts in a Local Government setting. Monitoring and development of financial and other reporting for all areas within the responsibility of the position.
