Apply now to join our team and make a difference with INPEX.Key responsibilities:As a Senior Electrical Engineer, your responsibilities include:Ensuring electrical systems comply with offshore facility safety case, industry standards, and AS 3000.Overseeing change management for offshore facility electrical systems, including temporary deviations and permanent modifications, in alignment with the companys risk management procedures.Managing electrical systems software backup and revision control in Asset Guardian.Leading efforts to address HSE, reliability, and NOPSEMA Audit actions within agreed timelines.Driving energy efficiency initiatives and reducing greenhouse gas emissions from offshore electrical systems.Developing and optimizing preventive maintenance tasks to ensure the reliability of electrical power equipment.Investigating failures and leading troubleshooting efforts using root cause analysis.Engaging with offshore teams during site visits to build relationships, provide hands-on technical assistance, and mentor others.Mentoring graduate engineers and vacation students to foster their growth and development within the team.What were looking for:The ideal candidate will bring:A Bachelor of Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification. Non-degreed personnel with significant experience and demonstrated competency will also be considered .Proven expertise in electrical engineering roles within the oil and gas industry.Experience in providing electrical engineering operations support in major hazard facilities or power stations.Familiarity with SAP maintenance systems and Management of Change processes.In-depth knowledge of the design, installation, inspection, and maintenance of electrical systems in hazardous areas, in accordance with AS60079 standards.Strong capability in root cause analysis techniques.Expertise in electrical engineering design, particularly within major hazard facilities or power stations.Significant practical experience on the following topics specific to an Offshore Oil and Gas facility:ETAP modelling including load flow, short circuit and arc flash studiesExperience of power management systems, emergency generators, UPS systems, offshore electromechanical equipment, power electronic systems, automatic controls, protection and measuring systems.Experience with ABB GIS and AIS switchgear up to 33kVExperience with GE, ABB and Siemens HV and LV variable speed drivesExperience with ABB and GE protection relays and engineering softwareStrong collaborative skills, with the ability to lead and work effectively across multi-functional teams and interact with both internal and external stakeholders.Exceptional organisational and risk management abilities, with a keen ability to prioritise tasks efficiently.This role is for applicants residing in or willing to relocate to Perth.Closing date for applications is 18 May 2025.
