Reporting directly to the CFO, this role is based on-site in Gladstone, Central QLD.About the RoleThe Senior Project Financial Controller will:Manage daily finance activities including AR, AP, and payroll.Prepare and analyze financial reports for Business Units, collaborating with the Corporate Finance Department.Liaise with Project Managers, Department Heads, and IT to support profitable growth.Oversee financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.Ensure compliance with GAAP or IFRS standards.Lead the accounting department functions.Develop and implement financial policies.Monitor financial performance and initiate corrective actions.Coordinate the annual audit process.Provide strategic financial recommendations.Manage cash flow and ensure fund availability.Prepare and present financial reports to management and stakeholders.Enforce internal controls to protect assets.Ensure accurate cash flow forecasts.Manage payroll tax, PAYG, and tax compliance.RequirementsCPA / CA or equivalent qualification.10+ years industry experience, with 5+ in senior management.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems like Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.Strong analytical and cost modeling skills.Knowledge of employment law and recruitment best practices.Relocation assistance may be available.Why Join Us?This role offers the chance to grow your career within a skilled, motivated team.
