Were changing the way Australia generates its energy, are you ready for a change?The ProjectUGL is looking for a Senior Supervisor to join our team on a new project in Wagga Wagga!UGL and CPB Contractors have been selected by Transgrid to deliver the approximately 140 km western section of the HumeLink high voltage electricity transmission project. HumeLink is a new 500kV transmission project connecting Wagga Wagga, Maragle, and Bannaby in regional NSW, significantly increasing the capacity of the electricity network in Australias eastern states. It is one of Australias largest energy infrastructure projects, with about 365 km of proposed new transmission lines and various other infrastructure upgrades.The HumeLink West scope, valued at $1.4 billion, includes the delivery of new 500kV double circuit transmission lines spanning approximately 140 km from Wagga Wagga Substation to a new substation at Gugaa, the interface point with HumeLink East near Gundagai, and a new substation at Maragle in the Snowy Mountains for future connection to Snowy 2.0.What will a day in this role look like:Supervision of subcontractors and UGL operators during the safe construction of access tracks and tower pads (including bench sites) for lattice transmission towers.Coordination of imported fill from suppliers, ensuring materials are delivered according to Powerlink specifications.Coordination of plant and crews along the easement.Ensuring adherence to client technical specifications, especially key hold points, and ensuring works do not proceed unless witnessed by nominated observers.Overseeing and conducting toolbox meetings and daily pre-start meetings to foster a close and productive team environment.Allocating daily tasks to leading hands and direct reports, monitoring productivity, efficiency, attitude, and work standards, while adhering to HSSEQ policies and project deadlines.Maintaining daily diaries to record resources on site and productivity, tracking attendance and working hours, and ensuring timesheet accuracy, including travel time or allowances.Understanding project schedule requirements and motivating leading hands, labor, and subcontractors to meet project targets.What are we looking for you to bring to the team:Experience in the construction industry in a team lead or supervisory role.Strong planning and coordination skills.A proven record of driving continuous improvement.Organizational capabilities.Strong communication skills.Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook.Knowledge of LEAN principles.Experience with Primavera, MS Project, SAP, and civil foundations for transmission lines; relevant Civil Engineering qualifications are highly desirable.Benefits include:A rewarding career supporting your development, training, and internal promotion opportunities.Opportunities across various construction sectors for your career growth.Competitive remuneration and benefits, including health and wellbeing programs, discount portals, and company-funded salary continuance insurance.Flexible work arrangements and a culture that values diversity and innovation.Primary LocationAustralia-NSW-Newcastle, Maitland & HunterWork TypeFull-timeNeed assistance applying or registering?
