Join to apply for the Commercial Manager role at Saab Australia. As part of the Commercial Group, the Warship Asset Management Agreement (WAMA) Commercial Manager will be responsible for providing proactive and timely commercial services to internal and external customers. The incumbent is expected to actively contribute to the Saab Commercial Team and support the achievement of the Commercial Group''s objectives. Key Responsibilities Contract Management: Serve as the initial point of contact for all WAMA commercial issues, manage contract reporting and closure, facilitate relationships related to contractual matters, prepare commercial and financial plans, and manage intellectual property under the agreement. Support and Advice: Assist WAMA project teams with dealings with the AMO, liaise with other participants, represent Saab at committees and working groups, and ensure compliance with legislation and company policies including health, safety, and quality standards. Other duties as assigned. Skills and Experience Minimum 7 years in a contract management role, with experience in establishing, managing, and closing contracts. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Commercial acumen with the ability to identify issues and risks. Ability to manage stakeholders and build relationships. Knowledge of contract law, negotiation skills, and experience with project financial management principles, including earned value management, project accounting, and risk sharing mechanisms. Proficiency in literacy and numeracy skills. Organizational skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. Experience with the ASDEFCON contract suite and Australian and US export control processes. Desirable: Experience in collaborative contracting frameworks, development of project IP plans, and contract phase-out plans. Educational Qualifications and Memberships Tertiary qualifications in Law, Business, or Commerce.
