Position: Regional Clinical Trials Coordinator - Study Start-up Specialist Type: Full Time, Fixed Term Contract - 28/09/2026 Hours: 76 hours per fortnight Northeast Health Wangaratta (NHW) is the major health provider in the Central Hume region, offering a wide range of acute, sub-acute, aged care, and community services. In line with the Enabling Infrastructure for Rural, Regional and Remote Clinical Trials initiative and the Australian Teletrial Program (NHW is recruiting regional Clinical Trial Start-up Coordinators. These roles focus on implementing the Australian Teletrial Program (ATP) in collaboration with the Regional Clinical Trial Coordinating Centre (RCCC). The Coordinator will work with Northeast Health Wangaratta, Goulburn Valley Health, and La Trobe Regional Hospital, providing study start-up coordination and consultation to support clinical trials and teletrials in rural and regional Victoria. Clinical trial coordinators are vital in sourcing, establishing, promoting, and building efficient processes and systems for clinical trial implementation, with a focus on Teletrials. Responsibilities include study start-up activities, supporting study coordination, and advising on care and participant management throughout the trial. The Coordinator will collaborate with clinicians and research staff across disciplines to establish clinical trials and teletrials in rural/regional health services. Our Region: Wangaratta has a population of approximately 30,000, serving a community of around 100,000 in the northeast. Located 2.5 hours from Melbourne via Hume Freeway, with direct flights from Albury to major Australian cities. Features over 11 schools, including private Catholic and Anglican options.
