This involves regulation, supervision, investigation, and enforcement, as well as providing regulatory advice and stakeholder engagement.The Market Integrity team oversees:Trading on Australian financial markets, including equities, bonds, and derivativesCorporate finance transactions, including Mergers & Acquisitions and Fundraising, along with related applications for relief, legislative instruments, and policy reformThe roleAs a Markets Analyst in the Market Integrity team, your responsibilities include:Conducting surveillance and technical analysis to detect insider trading, market manipulation, and misconductAnalyzing data using surveillance tools, preparing reports, and drafting referrals to ASIC''s enforcement teamsProviding strategic and technical advice on regulatory compliance and market conductEngaging with market intermediaries to ensure compliance with rules and lawsIdentifying systemic risks and emerging market trends, contributing to strategic responsesSupporting ASIC''s priorities in sustainable finance, digital technology, and data-driven regulationAbout YouYou hold relevant tertiary qualifications and have a solid understanding of the Australian financial system, ASIC''s regulatory scope, and surveillance''s role in market integrity. You possess analytical and investigative skills, experience in data analysis and reporting, and knowledge of fixed income, currency, or commodity markets, especially from a front-office or risk management perspective.You are curious, analytical, clear communicator, and capable of translating complex information into insightful advice and reports.
