When that happens, were not only making life better for small business, well be building a stronger economy that can change the world.How you''ll make an impactThis is a senior individual contributor role and will be critical to ensuring our most senior Strategy & Operations leaders are enabled to get the right things done through decision making grounded in analytics.You will be responsible for leading high-impact analytics projects to support improved decision making for senior leaders across Strategy & Operations. The role will be tasked with generating pan-Xero insights, bringing together multiple data sources in a cohesive way to aid in the most strategically important decisions and require you to align closely with senior executives across the globe.Working on projects with Senior Analysts, this is a hands-on analytics role that will require you to develop a strong understanding of customer and business needs across multiple contexts and geographies, then apply first class insights/analytics skills to meet those needs.Success looks like- Youve built strong relationships with senior executives across the business, being seen as a safe pair of hands- Provides deep and reliable insights and analytics that drive decision making- Provides consulting and thought leadership to senior stakeholders- Is a strong team player and can manage multiple tasks concurrently- Takes responsibility for work, demonstrates high levels of accountability and delivers on schedule- Demonstrates a focus on continual self improvement, across both the technical and business aspects of delivering data analytics- Works collaboratively across multiple teams- Builds strong relationships with our central data teams and other analytics groups at Xero What youll doBe an expert in last mile analytics, developing analytical models and performing deep dives that convert data into actionable insightsSupport executives and decision makers using data in a simple and effective way, with world class storytelling and data visualisation skills to inform better decision making from non-technical stakeholdersBuild a deep knowledge across multiple data domainsInsights and analytics outcomes which include but not limited to:Deliver Quantitative analysis to aid Xero-wide Strategy processHelp drive the monitoring of OKRs for Xero and setting company-level operational KPIsIdentify and monitor metrics for external communications (e.g. investors, media)Create cross-portfolio (e.g. Strategy Finance-Revops) metrics and reportingProvide decision support for Pricing and Packaging decisions, connecting product usage to packaging decisions to step change how we commercialise our productManage the roadmap and backlog of work, including hosting sessions to understand, clarify and document business requirementsAdvocate for the prioritisation of your initiatives within our team & with external stakeholdersWhere appropriate, use data science to apply advanced analytics and statistical techniques to provide recommendations, forecasts and optimisationsBe one of the most knowledgeable people at Xero with regard to the potential commercial return of Xeros product investments, and ensure this is accurately fed into our GTM plans as they evolveWhat youll bring with you8+ years or more experience in analytics or SaaS, in a stakeholder facing capacity or as a technical practitioner.Proven ability to lead analytics projects from end-to-endExperienced at coaching team members to improve the communication, storytelling and technical capabilityExperienced in delivering analytics in the form of interactive dashboardsExperienced in applying advanced analytics techniques and statistical methodologiesExperience across cloud data platforms, is highly desirable. eg.
