This role involves being the first point of contact for those seeking our services, both over the phone and in person, and maintaining strong connections with our Members, Volunteers, and community organizations.This position offers a mix of administrative tasks within our programs and community engagement, making it suitable for those seeking a role beyond desk work.Our ideal candidate would have experience in person-centered or not-for-profit organizations.This is a part-time role, working from 9am to 2pm, Monday to Friday.Essential RequirementsExperience in social or community services, preferably in a not-for-profit setting.High-level administrative skills.Experience working with individuals facing significant challenges or disadvantages.A positive, solutions-focused team player.Ability to support and mentor Members and Volunteers, aligning with the Society''s purpose.Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and willingness to learn new systems.Ability to manage deadlines and priorities flexibly.Excellent customer service and communication skills.Willingness to learn about social justice issues.Strong commitment to confidentiality and privacy principles.Ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders and partner organizations.Willingness to assist with event management and represent the Society when needed.A proactive attitude and commitment to the Society''s values.The successful applicant must hold a current, compliant National Police Check, a valid Working with Vulnerable People Card (or the ability to obtain one), and a Driver''s Licence with no restrictions.We offer an attractive salary packaging option to all employees.Our culture reflects our values, and this role is crucial to the success of our Northern Region.
