Sugar Australia has an exciting opportunity for a Process Engineer to join our team in a permanent full-time role at our YarravilleVictorian Refinery. Reporting to the Yarraville Technical Manager, you''ll play a key role in optimising refinery operations, enhancing productivity, improving cost efficiency, and leading continuous improvement initiatives.Your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:Identifying and implementing process engineering solutions to optimise plant performance and reduce operational expenditure.Supporting refinery operations by providing technical data, modelling and analysis to improve production performance.Implementing continuous improvement initiatives that enhance process efficiency, yield, energy use, and waste reduction.Contributing to the development of the site''s capital and strategic plans including energy reduction, decarbonisation, and performance optimisation.Assisting with capital project scoping, development, commissioning, and process support to ensure projects are delivered on time and on budget.Developing knowledge management systems (technical and operational) to support operations functions and transfer of skills and systems across the Wilmar group.Managing operational data reporting and SAP work order processes to support business decisions.What we''re wanting you to bring to the table:This role is ideally suited to a proactive and analytical engineer who thrives on solving complex problems and driving continuous improvement.A tertiary qualification in Chemical Engineering, Science or a related technical discipline.5-10 years'' experience in manufacturing or processing plant environments.5-10 years'' demonstrated project management experience and delivering improvement initiatives.Strong data analysis skills and process improvement mindset.Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.Familiarity with SAP and operational reporting systems (desirable).A collaborative and curious mindset with a passion for engineering excellence and innovation.About Sugar AustraliaSugar Australia is the nation''s trusted partner in sugar and ingredient solutions enabling our customers to make great products for every home.
