We have an exciting opportunity to join us as one of our valuable Community Safety Officers for the next 10 months.This pivotal role is committed to ensuring the wellbeing of the community through proactive measures and enforcement of safety regulations.This role will be involved in community education, parking control, domestic animal management including Councils animal shelter, fire prevention, school crossings, after-hours on-call duties on a rostered basis, community education, and ensuring compliance with the appropriate statutory obligations.ABOUT YOUTo be successful in this role, you will:have a Certificate IV in Animal Management/Local Government/Statutory Compliance, or experience in a similar fieldbe qualified, or prepared to qualify as an Assistant Municipal Fire Prevention Officerhave a high level of communication skills and diligence for detailhave a customer focus when managing a range of external stakeholdersbe willing to work collaboratively to achieve the goals of the Community Safety teamnot be afraid to jump in wherever help is needed, including being on call and able to respond to emergency call outs.You must have a current Drivers licence, Working with Children Check and complete a satisfactory Police Records Check and Functional Assessment (Physio/medical).WHY YOU''LL LOVE WORKING WITH US!Work-life balance with flexible working arrangementsRostered Days Off offered forfull time rolesOngoing training and professional development opportunitiesSouth Gippsland is an organisation that is committed to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.
