Youll be able to work close to home in a dynamic setting featuring cafes and retail options set amongst heritage buildings and open green spaces.The OpportunityMelton City Council seeks a permanent full-time Team Leader Asset Data within the Engineering and Asset Services Department.This role reports to the Coordinator Asset Management and GIS and will lead a team responsible for the accurate and timely capture and import of Council asset data into GIS and asset management systems, providing expertise in geospatial and data projects and process improvements.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the team in the accurate review and timely import of Council asset data into GIS and asset management systems.Maintain current and accurate internal documentation related to the management of Council asset data.Provide expertise using GIS and data management software to enhance asset data management and monitoring.Undertake GIS projects to support Councils geospatial services.Serve as the primary contact for Council asset data when liaising with maintenance contractors, state government, and other authorities.To view the Position Description, click here.About YouTo be successful in this role, you will have the following:Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Asset Management, or Geospatial Science.Significant experience in acquiring Council assets and integrating data into GIS and asset management systems.Well-developed communication and negotiation skills, including leading meetings, making presentations, and providing training.Experience with desktop GIS software (ArcGIS, MapInfo, or QGIS) for spatial data capture, analysis, and mapping.Culture and ValuesOur community vision is: "A vibrant, safe, and livable city accessible to all."
